Nia Witts was born in Los Angeles, California where she started her journey singing in the church choir. When she was a little girl, Nia dreamed of being a "Fly Girl" on the sketch comedy show "In Living Color". After many years of dancing around the house in a tutu, her parents placed her in dance classes. Nia became a very skilled Tap, Jazz, and Ballet dancer.

Nia caught the acting bug when her Father took her to see the one woman show of Harriet Tubman performed by Debbie Allen. After seeing the performance her life was forever changed. Nia quickly began her journey acting in plays at church. Nia was accepted into the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA) theatre department.  Nia was later furthered her training at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts (West).

At the Academy Nia worked with veteran actors Theresa Hayes, Betty Karlen, Tim Landfield, Brent Jennings, and Shirley Jo Finney. Nia graduated from the Academy and was awarded the Michael Toma Award for the most improved actor.

After much success in Los Angeles, Nia moved to New York performing in off Broadway productions, film, and webseries. Nia currently resides in Atlanta where she is starring as "Nina" in the hit new webseries "Love Crimes".

Nia will continue on her road to success in the entertainment industry. Look for her name in lights, and her face coming to a movie theatre near you!!
